The only part thats really better than waterworks is the boots, but so are the Avalon crafted boots, which are better than the Atlantea boots and the waterworks boots. Sand squid drops a unique pet and deck. Deck is bad for every school except fire, and even then don't farm for it. In short: run once to unlock tartarus, get pet from side boss.
